Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate – Take your hot chocolate to the next level by adding peanut butter! Made with just 3 simple ingredients in 10 minutes!
Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate
I think that peanut butter and chocolate are meant to be together. Whether it’s in a peanut butter cup frappuccino, a peanut butter chocolate pie, peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter brownies, or anything else you can dream up with these two flavors, it’s absolutely delicious! I have been drinking peanut butter hot chocolate for years because it’s a fun way to either jazz up a packet of hot chocolate or to make it from scratch and make it taste extra special. It’s perfectly cozy and warm, perfect for cold winter days!
This recipe makes about 1 serving but it is super easy to double or triple it. If you want to make a bigger batch, I suggest using my slow cooker hot chocolate recipe and adding peanut butter to it.
Common Questions About Making Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate
What can I top this drink with?
How can I make hot chocolate even better?
Some easy ways to make your hot chocolate to the next level include substituting in heavy whipping cream or half-and-half for some of the milk to make it even creamier or upgrading your chocolate chips to nicer ones like ghirardelli.
What kind of peanut butter should I use?
I suggest using a regular smooth peanut like JIF, more natural or homemade peanut butter might leave you a grainier texture.
Can I use white chocolate instead?
Of course! Directly substitute in white chocolate for the regular chocolate in this recipe.
