I can’t get enough of wonton cups right now! Between the pepperoni pizza wonton cups, asian chicken wonton cups, and spinach artichoke wonton cups, it feels like that is all I eat now. Now the thing I love about this wonton cup recipe is that it is a dessert wonton cup! Yes, it has apple pie filling, whipped cream, and a bit of caramel inside a crispy wonton cup that is perfect to serve as an appetizer, dessert, or both!
This recipe is made with just two ingredients – pre-made apple pie filling and wonton wrappers. Feel free to make your own apple pie filling, my favorite recipe for it can be found in THIS recipe. I also drizzled some caramel (homemade recipe HERE) after the pictures were done to make them even more perfect!
If you have any leftover, you can reheat them but be careful not to burn the wonton cups. I reheated mine in a toaster oven on “warm”.
Basically, this is the perfect dessert to make when you have a sweet tooth and you don’t want to slave over making an apple pie for scratch. I am going to make another batch to serve on Thanksgiving!
How to make apple pie wonton cups
Step 1 – Place wonton wrappers in pan
Place two wonton wrappers in each of the wells in a muffin pan. I suggest moving the wonton wrappers so that the corners of one wonton wrapper is on the edge of the other so that the corners aren’t together. This helps keep the filling from getting into the pan.
Step 2 – Place apple pie filling in wonton cups
Place about 2 tablespoons of apple pie filling in each wonton cup. Make sure it is not overflowing.
Step 3 – Bake
Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes.

Apple Pie Wonton Cups - A quick and easy personal dessert perfect for fall! Crispy wonton cups filled with apple pie filling and topped with whipped cream!
- 1 package wonton wrappers you need about 48
- 1 can apple pie filling
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and place 2 wonton wrappers in each well of a muffin pan.
Fill each wonton cup with about 2 tablespoons of apple pie filling.
Place pan in oven and cook for 15-20 minutes or until wrappers start to turn golden brown and the apple pie filling is warm.
Serve immediatly with whipped cream and caramel sauce (optional).
