I can’t believe it is already almost Valentine’s Day! One of my favorite parts of Valentine’s Day is making pink food, something about it is just so fun.  For this Valentine’s Day, I decided I wanted to make a fun cocktail that is great to share with your Valentine that is bright and festive.

Now this lovebug cocktail is pretty, pink, and tasty.  If you don’t have white cranberry juice, you can use normal cranberry juice but it will just make the drink more red.

This recipe can be made into a mocktail that kids (or anyone under 21) can drink! Just skip the vodka and add a bit more cranberry juice or soda! Another great substitution that you can make is using ginger ale instead of lemon lime soda for just a little bit of a fun, different spin on this drink.

One of my favorite parts about serving this recipe was the red rim.  It’s really easy to whip up, you just need a bit of simple syrup (which I bought premade at my local grocery store) and some red or pink granulated sprinkles.  This adds a really festive touch to the drink.

This recipe is for just 1 drink so just make at least that much for each person you are serving it to.  It is really easy to double, triple, or even quadruple!

Ingredients

Lovebug Cocktail

• 3 ounces white cranberry juice
• 2 ounces lemon lime soda
• 1 ounce vodka
• 1 ounce grenadine

Instructions

1. Fill cup with ice and then pour in the white cranberry juice, vodka, lemon lime soda, and grenadine.
2. Serve immediately.
