Cranberry Moscow Mule Cocktail

Hey friends, we’ve officially entered the ‘most wonderful time of the year’.  With the change of the calendar comes a whole lot of prepping for dinners, gatherings, and holiday menus.

I have a wonderful cocktail that you simply must add to your holiday menu this year. Introducing the easy to make, and easy to enjoy Cranberry Moscow Mule Cocktail.

Isn’t it gorgeous? Doesn’t it look festive and exceptionally drinkable? I adore how this cocktail looks in the pretty copper cups, add some bright pops of color from some lime slices and fresh cranberries, simply stunning.

If you’ve never enjoyed a Moscow Mule, you are in for a treat. It is a wonderful bright cocktail that fits in perfectly for holiday enjoyment. We have a terrific Apple Cider Moscow Mule you can make in addition to this version. We even have a non-alcoholic Moscow Mule Mocktail! Add them all to your holiday plans.

What ingredients do you need to make a Cranberry Moscow Mule Cocktail?

  • Vodka
  • Cranberry Juice
  • Ginger Beer
  • Garnish: lime slice and fresh cranberries

Some tips for making a Cranberry Moscow Mule Cocktail:

  • If you prefer a non-alcoholic version, simply omit the vodka.
  • You can use Cranberry Juice Cocktail or pure Cranberry Juice.
  • Ginger Beer is found in the liquor section, but it is non-alcoholic.
  • Due to the carbonation of the Ginger Beer, this drink is best made just prior to drinking otherwise it will lose carbonation.

Simple steps for making a Cranberry Moscow Mule Cocktail:

Fill a mule glass with ice. Add the vodka.

Next, add the cranberry juice.

Top with ginger beer (enough to fill the cup).

Garnish with lime and cranberries, if desired. Serve immediately.

Prep Time 5 minutes
Total Time 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1.5 ounces vodka
  • 1 ounce cranberry juice
  • 4 ounces Ginger Beer
  • Garnish: lime wedge & fresh cranberries

Instructions

Fill a mule glass with ice. Add the vodka and cranberry juice. Top with ginger beer (enough to fill the cup). Garnish with lime and cranberries, if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

To make this recipe non-alcoholic, omit the vodka.

I prefer using pure cranberry juice for this recipe (not cranberry juice cocktail) but either will work.

Make sure to use ginger beer-- not ginger ale!

Moscow Mules should not be made ahead as the ginger beer will start to flatten (lose its bubbles) once opened.

To make a Kentucky mule, use bourbon instead of vodka.

To add a little “something extra” add 1/2 ounce of St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur— it helps enhance the earthiness of the cranberries.
