Homemade White Chocolate Sauce – A quick and easy recipe to make white chocolate sauce at home. Great to use in coffee drinks or drizzled on dessert!
White Chocolate Sauce
I am in love with this white chocolate sauce! So here at my house, ice cream with a bit of whipped cream and chocolate sauce is almost a daily occurrence. After I started to make my own homemade chocolate sauce a few months back, I got to wondering if I could do the same thing with white chocolate. My thought was it could be used exactly the same way that chocolate sauce is but it would pair well with flavors that chocolate might not be as good with such as green tea, lavender, etc. Additionally, I thought it would be so awesome in drinks like white chocolate mochas or hot chocolates.
It turned out exactly how I hoped it would! It’s thick, creamy, and tastes perfect! I just used white chocolate and heavy whipping cream but you could substitute the heavy whipping cream for half-and-half if that’s all you had on hand.
Common Questions About Making White Chocolate Sauce
What is white chocolate sauce made of?
Homemade chocolate sauce is made up of just two simple ingredients – white chocolate and heavy whipping cream.
What kind of white chocolate should I use?
I suggest either a bar of white chocolate for baking or white chocolate chips. I try to get the nicer stuff for this because I have found that better quality (such as ghiradelli) has a better flavor.
How do you store white chocolate sauce?
You store white chocolate sauce in a heat-safe jar in the refrigerator for up to one week. Since it has dairy in it, I would not push it too long in the fridge, just to be on the safe side.
