Instant Pot or Slow Cooker
Gather the ingredients - * Pork shoulder * Brown sugar * Salt * Garlic powder * Onion powder * Thyme * Black pepper * Chicken stock * BBQ sauce
- In a small bowl, combine the spices. - Rub the spice mixture all over the pork, making sure to evenly coat it on all sides.
Add the chicken stock to the Instant Pot and then place the pork in. Attach the lid and ensure the valve is in the "sealing" position. Cook for 45 minutes.
– Remove the pork and shred it to your desired size. – Whisk the BBQ sauce into the chicken stock and then add the pork back into the Instant Pot. Toss to combine.
– Serve the pork on your choice of buns and enjoy.
