For my first recipe, I knew that I had to make lavender lemonade when I saw that Torani was one of the sponsors and sending us a bottle of their lavender syrup. I added the sparkling water to it to give it a bit of extra fun but that is totally optional. Something that is great about this recipe is that it is really easy to scale up and make a bunch of for brunch or for a summer party. The recipe itself is just written for two servings but it is really easy to double, triple, or quadruple.
This sparkling lavender lemonade recipe is also a simple mocktail that can be served to kids or can easily be turned into a cocktail. Just add in some vodka, the amount is up to you and how boozy you want it!
In addition to Torani, this post also features Sweets & Treats paper straws. I was so happy when I saw that they had a purple straw that perfectly matched the purple of the lavender in the drink!
Common questions about making lemonade
What ingredients do you need to make lemonade?
To make homemade lemonade, the ingredients you need are sugar, water, and freshly squeezed lemon juice.
How do you make lemonade fizzy?
If you want to make lemonade fizzy, you just need to add sparkling water. For this recipe, I would add about 1 1/2 cups sparkling water to the mango lemonade. If that is not enough, you can adjust to taste.
How do I make fresh lemonade?
To make fresh lemonade, you will need:
- 5 cups water
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 3/4 cup sugar
In a small saucepan, bring sugar and 1 cup of water to a boil. Once sugar is dissolved, set aside and let cool.
Once cool, combine the simple syrup with the remaining water and lemon juice. Mix until well combined.
How to make sparkling lavender lemonade
Step 1 – Lavender Syrup
Pour the lavender syrup in to a cup. If you can’t get a hold of the same type I did, you can always make it from scratch.
Step 2 – Lemonade
Pour the lemonade into the cup. This can either be homemade or store bought. I included a classic lemonade recipe above in the notes so if you are feeling ambitious, try it out!
Step 3 – Sparkling Water
Pour the sparkling water into the cup. If you are making a larger batch to serve, you can combine the lemonade and lavender syrup ahead of time but I suggest waiting on adding the sparkling water until right before serving it so that it does not go flat. Alternatively, you could also skip serving it with the sparkling water all together if it will be sitting for a while.
