Raspberry Simple Syrup
When I was remaking my cotton candy frappuccino the other day, I realized I was out of the bottle of raspberry simple syrup that I had been using for quite some time. After I overcame the shock, I realized I could do something crazy… make it myself! Now this was my first simple syrup recipe made using fresh fruit and it turned out great. I love the bright pop of color it gets from the raspberries without any food coloring needing to be added. Now you can make this syrup a bit thicker by adding closer to 1/2 cup water but it’s totally up to you. It varies whether people prefer to have a thicker or a thinner simple syrup, I definitely lean more towards thinner.
