Pumpkin Cheesecake Dip with Toffee Pretzel Pieces
Back with some more fall flavors Y’all! I’m not from the south but I can’t resist a good Y’all when we were talking about food and fall.
Pumpkin Cheesecake Dip with Toffee Pretzel Pieces is simple, delicious and begs to be made at least a few times during autumn. I’ve actually found pumpkin desserts and treats are popular all the way through Christmastime. Who knew?
The basis for this yummy dip is simply a mixture of canned pumpkin pie filling, cream cheese, pumpkin pie spice, sugar, and Cool-Whip. Easy, even the kids can help with this one.
Now the added yum factor of Toffee Pretzel Pieces is what sets this dip apart from all the other pumpkin dips. Don’t be scared, the name is fancier than they really are, and trust me they are SO simple to make.
Basically, you begin with some pretzels that you whack into pieces with a rolling pin…amazing aggression release if you know what I mean. Next, you mix them with melted butter and sugar. Toss on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and bake a few minutes until they are ooey and gooey. Cool, and chop break apart! Told you it was easy.
Some hints for making Pumpkin Cheesecake Dip with Toffee Pretzel Pieces:
- Refrigerate dip portion if not serving right away.
- Place Toffee Pretzel Pieces on just prior to serving to avoid soggy bits.
- No parchment paper? Use a silicone baking sheet, it’ll save you a messy pan.
- Serve with additional pretzels, cinnamon graham crackers, vanilla wafers or Scooby Snacks! (If you haven’t tried Scooby Snacks, you MUST!)
