Peppermint White Russian – A holiday spin on a classic cocktail. Made with Kahlua, Vodka, heavy cream, and peppermint simple syrup. This easy cocktail is sure to be a hit.
Peppermint White Russian
After making my peppermint simple syrup recipe a few days back, I have been experimenting with all sorts of peppermint cocktails. One of my favorites that I came up with was a fun holiday spin on the classic white russian – a peppermint white russian. This is exactly the same as a white russian but with a bit of peppermint simple syrup.
If you want to jazz up this cocktail, serve it with a candy cane in it or even a drizzle of chocolate sauce (click HERE for my recipe) in the cup or on top. This recipe is for one serving but you can always increase it for more servings if you are having a group over.
Common Questions About Making a White Russian
Do you mix a white russian?
It is totally up to you whether you prefer to mix your white russian ahead of time or to do a pour over like I did.
What alcohol is in a white russian?
The alcohol used in a white russian is kahlua and vodka.
What is peppermint simple syrup?
Peppermint simple syrup is a sugar syrup made with water, granulated sugar, and peppermint extract which adds flavor to a cocktail or drink while also adding a bit of sweetness. You can buy it at the store (usually the company is Torani) or you can make it home in less than 5 minutes by clicking HERE for the recipe. Alternatively, you can use peppermint schnapps in the recipe instead.
