If you’ve noticed while searching the web, hot cocoa bombs are all the rage. Appearing onto the radar of internet lovers last fall, they became crazy popular during the Christmas holiday season. Their popularity has continued on adding a whole new level of deliciousness to plain old hot cocoa.

Today we’re adding a fun movie theatre candy into the beloved hot cocoa bomb for an extra yummy treat. Nestle Crunch Hot Cocoa Bombs have a fun surprise in the center Nestle Buncha Crunch candies, you may have enjoyed a box of them at a movie theatre in the past. They are the munchable-sized yummy cousin of the classic Nestle Crunch Bar. 

 

If your kids have spring break soon, grab the ingredients and the necessary kitchen tools and make these together. They’ll taste that much better when you pour that warm milk over the top. 

What is a hot cocoa bomb?

A chocolate shell filled with hot cocoa powder, and sometimes other goodies. The decorated balls are placed in a heat-proof mug and then steaming milk is poured over the top. Which results in a melted mixture that forms a delicious mug of hot cocoa.

What ingredients do you need to make Nestle Crunch Hot Cocoa Bombs?

  • Chocolate
  • Hot Cocoa Mix
  • Nestle Buncha Crunch Candy
  • Milk

Some tips for making Nestle Crunch Hot Cocoa Bombs:

  • Silicone molds found online, or at Michaels. 
  • Wear gloves to avoid fingerprints when assembling the tops and bottom halves.
  • You can find concession-sized boxes of Nestle Buncha Crunch Candy in the candy aisle at grocery stores.

Simple steps for making Nestle Crunch Hot Cocoa Bombs:

Complete directions found in the recipe card below. 

Using a silicone mold, fill each mold, with melted chocolate. Set in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to set up.

Carefully remove chocolate from molds and set aside. Gather hot cocoa mix, Nestle Buncha Crunch Candy, and set aside.

Fill with hot chocolate mix and a few pieces Nestle Buncha Crunch Candy.

Melt the edge of another chocolate half and then seal it to the other cocoa-filled chocolate half. Repeat.

Optional: drizzle melted chocolate over completed hot cocoa bombs and top with a bit more Nestle Buncha Crunch Candy.

To serve: Place a hot cocoa bomb in your mug, pour hot milk over the top, stir and top with whipped cream if desired

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces milk chocolate, chips or bark
  • 2 packets hot cocoa mix with mini marshmallows
  • 1 3.2 oz box Nestle Buncha Crunch Candy
  • 6 cups hot milk

Instructions

Begin by melting chocolate in a microwave-safe dish for around 1 minute, stir, stirring at 30-second intervals. If melted remove from the microwave.

Using a silicone mold, fill each mold, with melted chocolate. Set in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to set up.

Carefully remove chocolate from molds and set aside. Gather hot cocoa mix, Nestle Buncha Crunch Candy, and set aside.

Heat a small skillet on the stove, melt the edge of a chocolate half, and then fill with hot chocolate mix and a few pieces Nestle Buncha Crunch Candy.

Melt the edge of another chocolate half and then seal it to the other cocoa-filled chocolate half. Repeat.
