What ingredients do you need to make Homemade Lemon Cupcakes?
- Flour
- Baking Powder
- Salt
- Unsalted Butter
- Sugar
- Eggs
- Vanilla Extract
- Lemon Juice & Zest
- Milk
Simple steps for making Homemade Lemon Cupcakes:
In a mixing bowl combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add in eggs, one at a time.
Mix in vanilla extract, zest of lemon, and lemon juice.
Alternately add in the flour mixture and milk about half at a time, beating just until blended
Using a scoop, divide the batter into the cupcake liners, filling about two-thirds full.
Bake 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cupcake comes out clean.
Remove cupcakes and place them on a wire baking rack. Cool completely prior to frosting.

- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 2/3 cup milk
Instructions
