Caramel Frappuccino {Starbucks Copycat}

Caramel frappuccinos were my go-to drink for years whenever I would get anything at a coffeeshop during the summer.  Whether it was a caramel ribbon crunch frappuccino or a basic caramel frappuccino, I absolutely loved it! Flash forward to now and I have fallen love with making them at home!

Now the biggest difference in how homemade frappuccinos are made vs those you get somewhere like Starbucks is that they use a coffee frappuccino syrup as the base whereas I use vanilla ice cream and coffee.  You get a pretty similar result from ice cream and coffee plus it makes it easier to make at home.

Of course! Instead of dairy-based ice cream, use a non-dairy substitute such as coconut-based ice cream and make sure you pick up a bottle of vegan caramel.

Instructions

  1. Combine vanilla ice cream, cold coffee, ice, and caramel sauce in a blender. Blend until smooth.
  2. Divide between two cups and top with whipped cream (optional). Serve immediatly.

Notes

  1. I suggest freezing coffee in an ice tray and using it in the recipe instead of water-based ice. It helps keep it from getting watered down as it melts.
