Apple Crisp Macchiato – Make your favorite fall drink at home with just a few simple ingredients! Filled with warm apple flavor, it’s so delicious!
Apple Crisp Macchiato
My drink of choice this season is the apple crisp macchiato from Starbucks. I was hesitant at first because I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about having apple flavors in a coffee drink but once I took my first sip, I was sold. The warm apple pie flavors pair so perfectly with creamy milk and espresso. It’s a drink that tastes great hot or cold. If you are serving it cold, you should try adding some cold foam to the top (click HERE for my recipe).

Should I make this drink hot or cold?
Either! If you want it to be hot, warm the milk in a saucepan over medium heat. If you want it to be cold, skip that step and serve it over ice.

Ingredient Notes –
- I love the tartness granny smith apples add to this recipe, but feel free to use any kind of apple you like.
- Make sure to use a good quality, 100% apple cider.
- Water helps thin the syrup a bit so the sugar can easily melt.
- Brown sugar and apple pair so well together but feel free to use granulated if you prefer.
- Cinnamon adds a bit of warmth and spice to the syrup.
- I used whole milk to make the macchiato, but feel free to use any kind you like.
- If you don’t have espresso, you can also use very strong coffee or cold brew. Additionally, you can try out my homemade espresso recipe (click HERE for recipe). It doesn’t involve an espresso machine.
